Frost Amphitheater holds just 8,000, so very few people would have been at this concert, which predated Woodstock by more than a year. According to the Cryptical Development blog, "The concert helped solidify the reputation of the San Francisco sound and cemented the link between 1960s counterculture and rock music. Contemporary reports described it as a joyous celebration of the hippie movement and anti-Vietnam War sentiment. While not as culturally impactful as Woodstock a year later, the Stanford University Revolution concert was an iconic event that brought the rock counterculture to the academic setting. It foreshadowed the many large rock festivals that would follow in the late 1960s and early 1970s."
