May 4, 1920 check signed by Zane Grey, author of numerous popular western novels including the 1912 Riders of the Purple Sage. An unusual check of historical interest, made out to Brydon Brothers Harness and Saddlery of Los Angeles, a well known manufacturer and seller of cowboy saddles, chaps, and related gear. Brydon provided saddles and other gear to numerous Hollywood studios for use in western movies.
In excellent condition, typical check dimensions, 5 3/4 inches by 2 5/8 inches. Signed clearly by Grey on the front. Check No. 16, dated May 4, 1920, Los Angeles, for $44.50.
