Very rare 1928 German blue, gold and white Heinrich and Co. porcelain plate commemorating the 1928 launch of the Graf Zeppelin (LZ-127). The plate features the Graf Zeppelin in flight over Lake Constance, on the Rhine, with the Alps in the background. The scene depicts the view from the Zeppelin Works in Friedrichshafen, Germany, where the Graf Zeppelin was built and launched.

The plate is 9 3/4 inches (25cm) in diameter. In exceptional condition with no cracks, chips or crazing. With bright, crisp glaze and decoration. Extensive gold decoration around the rim, and "GRAF ZEPPELIN" and the company's "LZ" logo in gold. Included original string for hanging on wall.

Signed on underside with the Heinrich and Company hallmark and "Selb, Bavaria, Germany, Heinrich and Co." Also marked "Formgebung Fachoberlehrer W. Veit, Decoration Fachienrer Otto Keitel. Entwurf begutachtet und genehmigt von der Luftschiffbau Zeppelin G.m.b.H. Friedrichtshafen, 1928. Ges. Geschutzt"
