Scarce Allis-Chalmers Co. Chicago U.S.A. Gates Works bronze equipment nameplate from a machine made by the company around 1905. Heavy, cast bronze nameplate, 3 inches by 4 1/2 inches, with "Allis-Chalmers Co. Chicago U.S.A. Gates Works" in cast letters, and stamped below "Size 8 x 12 Dodge Job 41648." In excellent condition for its age, with the four mounting holes intact.
