A fine, very rare pair of antique French bronze dore ormolu mounted crystal decanters with intricate, very attractive tulip design. Each decanter is 3 inches by 3 inches, and 7 inches tall. The decanters are heavy, each weighing just over 2 pounds with the stopper but without the bronze mount.
Based on the size, shape and quality, I believe these are Baccarat whiskey decanters, but they are unsigned.
The pair is in overall excellent condition. No cracks or chips on decanters. Two very small chips on one stopper (see photos). Mounts in excellent condition, no cracks, plating wearing with age but generally fine. Some discoloration and light scratches inside the decanters from age and use.
Very few matched pairs such as this come up.
