GIANT VINTAGE 1930S RON BACARDI RUM LIQUOR STORE DISPLAY BOTTLE NEARLY TWO FEET TALL

Regular price $495.00

Unusual, large late 1930s or early 1940s Ron Bacardi liquor store display bottle. This amber colored bottle is 22 inches tall and 6 1/4 inches in diameter at the bottom. The cap is carved wood.

The label is an unusual Bacardi variant, introduced not long after the company opened its facility in Puerto Rico in the 1930s. It is a transitional label and probably the only label to mention Bacardi facilities in Cuba, Puerto Rico and the mainland U.S. (New York). It also refers to "Bacardi Corp. of America," which does not appear on labels before or after this time. There is a bottle with a similar label on display at Bacardi's visitor center at its distillery in Puerto Rico.

Fantastic condition, labels intact with minor staining and hand-lettered "D" on the front label. No chips or cracks in the glass. Stopper has minor crack. Top rim of bottle is jagged, but this is not visible when the bottle is displayed with the top on. (I believe this is part of the bottle making process.)

A rare advertising collectible.
