LARGE VINTAGE OBSOLETE NEXTEL CELLULAR LOGO DEALER STORE ADVERTISING SIGN

Vintage Nextel Cellular Dealer Authorized Representative Store Advertising Sign. Nextel logo in large, laser cut laminate letters mounted on translucent acrylic with clips for wall hanging. Very good condition, light surface scratches (see photo), with no cracks. The Nextel brand retired when the company merged with Sprint in 2005.

The sign is 46 inches wide and 11 1/4 inches high. The Nextel logo is made up of large, high relief letters, each 7 inches tall, 5 1/2 inches wide and 7/8 inch thick.

Mobile phone advertising collectibles are growing in value. From the 1980s through 2000 there was extensive competition and consolidation among carriers and handset manufacturers. Brands came and went, and when shops changed branding, signs such as this one were often discarded, leaving fewer on the market.
