Baillière et Fils, Paris, 19, rue Hautefeuille, near the Boulevard Saint-Germain.
Hard cover, cloth binding. 7 × 4.5 in or 18 × 11 cm, 81 steel engraved plates, 593 pages. Good condition, foxing, cover bumped and loose, small tear on front cover. Pages 565 through 589 with slight tears, two pages with small pieces torn off at the edge.
Goffres was professor agrégé at the Faculty of Medicine in Montpellier, professor of operative medicine and military hospital surgeon in Metz and Strasbourg, and worked at Val-de-Grâce, a notable French military hospital. He was awarded the Officer of the Légion d’honneur amd Commander of the Order of Saint-Anne of Russia.
