This is a highly unusual piece, a poster of 5-time land speed world record holder Craig Breedlove's Spirit of America III, signed by his rival, Royal Air Force fighter pilot Wing Commander Andy Green, holder of the all-time land speed record and the first person to break the sound barrier (Mach 1) in a car. Green, driver for Team ThrustSSC, set the record on 15 October 1997 at Black Rock Desert, Nevada (USA).

The poster is firmly signed in large felt pen:
To Al Cherry
All the Best
Andy Green
763.035 MPH
MACH 1.02
15 OCT 97

The poster measures 36 inches by 12 inches. Overall condition is good with some wrinkling and minor staining from moisture, and one white area top middle about an inch square.

Al Cherry might be radio personality "Big Al Cherry." Green's willingness to sign his name and record on a Breedlove poster is probably a subtle jab at his competitor. Breedlove had always wanted to be the first to break the sound barrier, but Green beat him to it. Breedlove's signature also appears on the poster but this is printed on the poster and not signed in ink.
