Fine edition, with brown calf leather bindings and spines featuring elaborate gilt tooling throughout. A collection of essays on society and culture.

Each spine with raised bands, a red morocco leather label with the title in gilt lettering, a green morocco label indicating the volume number (VOL. I and VOL. II), and decorative gilt floral motifs on the brown leather portions. The spines also display ornate gilt borders and decorative lines. With marbled endpapers and page edges.

Showing wear at the edges of both spines, with the boards beginning to split but nonetheless solid and tight. Very clean inside pages.
