Pair of Early 1900s Fireplace Andirons. Sheffield New York Brass Empire or Federal Style. Heavy turned brass with cast iron supports. Urn tops with acorn finials. Additional finials on supports.
Both stamped underneath "Sheffield New York." One stamped "6L." Brass pieces stamped "S" and "S2." 19 1/2" high, 18" deep. 4" tall feet, 7 1/2" wide at the front. Very good condition. Unrestored with original patina. Cast iron supports blackened and rusty with years of heat and use.
