PAIR SIGNED LIMOGES FRANCE CAMILLE THARAUD 5 3/4" COBALT & GILT PORCELAIN URNS

Beautiful pair of small Limoges cobalt and gilt porcelain urns, c. 1910, signed by Camille Tharaud. 5 5/8 inches tall, about 3 7/8 inches wide at the handles, and 2 3/8 inches square at the base.

Both signed Tharaud, but markings are not identical. One is marked "C Tharaud Limoges France" and the other is marked with a simplified maker's mark "CT Limoges France." The urns are a perfect match otherwise.

Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. A very nice pair.

Camille Tharaud was born in France in 1878 and was one of the most important designers of Limoges porcelain, having perfected a high temperature (1400 centigrade) enameling process.
