VINTAGE COLLECTIBLE 1981 SHERWOOD ENGINEERING SE-3 MK I PHASE LOCKED DETECTOR 455 KHZ IF AMATEUR HAM RADIO
Vintage, ham radio (amateur radio) collectible Sherwood Engineering SE-3 MK I High Fidelity synchronous AM Phase Locked Detector. The device is in immaculate cosmetic condition and appears to be all original. The circuit board is marked 1981, so this is a very early unit.
This unit is configured for 455 kHz IF input. The controls on the front include lock/unlock, offset selection, vernier tuning, tone, and volume. The rear panel includes jacks for IF input, an auxiliary audio output, a speaker output, and a four-pin power connector.
The unit is in exceptional cosmetic condition for its age. The case and front/rear panels are very clean. All of the knobs and switches are original and functional, with shiny brushed aluminum accents. It appears complete inside with no obvious modifications. There is minor corrosion to the nut securing the jack on the front panel. (This is easily replaced.)
This item is being offered as an amateur radio collectible. It may not be functional. We are unable to test it.
