VINTAGE BELGIAN EMBOSSED METAL SIGN CHARTREUX TABLE OIL, GREAT GRAPHICS & COLORS

Vintage, embossed, lithographed Belgian metal sign (in Dutch) promoting Chartreux Table Oil (cooking oil). Great image, logo and typography. Bottle and large yellow lettering nicely embossed. Sign reads:

de Beste olie voor de Keuken

Tafelolie Chartreux 

"The best oil for cooking Chartreux Table Oil." Width 26 cm (10.25 inches) x Height 37.5 cm (15.25 inches). 

Overall very good condition, bright colors. Some rust, at right corner, along edges. Rust stains throughout (see photos). A few tiny chips and scratches, quite minimal for a sign of this type and age.

Designed and made by J. Schuybroek S.A. in 1953 in Brussels for the Belgian market. Sign marked "Taxe Payee Bruxelles 1022/2/1953" (Tax Paid Brussels, 1953.)
