VINTAGE RINGLING BROTHERS BARNUM & BAILEY 60S/70S MOTORCYCLE COSTUME JACKET

Original 1960s/1970s Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus Motorcycle Daredevil Costume Jacket. Worn by a member of the Urias Family Globe of Death troupe. The Globe of Death (aka Globe of Steel), a favorite Barnum and Bailey attraction, features motorcyclists riding at high speed inside a steel mesh sphere. The Urias Family is the first such act to be featured by Ringling Brothers Circus, and is recognized for many other firsts including the first such attraction to have a woman rider.

The jacket is made of blue and red satin with silver metallic fabric, large rhinestones and real glass mirrors throughout. Excellent condition, some wear from age and use. Nor ornamentation missing, solid condition. Slight stains to lining.
